Jun 26, 2017

Back To The Future director Robert Zemeckis had once been linked to being in the mix to take over the Flash directing gig at Warner Bros. However, we learned he would instead focus on his next film for Universal Pictures which would be feature adaptation of the 2010 documentary Marwencol.

After a vicious attack leaves him brain-damaged and broke, Mark Hogancamp seeks recovery in “Marwencol”, a 1/6th scale World War II-era town he creates in his backyard.

Omega Underground has learned from a local production source that the film will begin filming on August 14th in Vancouver and is expected to wrap on October 19th.

The cast (so far) consists of Steve Carrell, Janelle Monae, Diane Kruger, Eiza González, and Leslie Mann.

The untitled film is aiming for a release date on November 21st, 2018.
