Deadline has learned that screenwriter Rodney Rothman has been hired to pen an upcoming 21 Jump Street spin-off movie with an all female cast. Rothman is also being eyed to direct even though this would be his first directing gig ever. However, Rothman did help pen both 22 Jump Street and Forgetting Sarah Marshall which are both great comedies in their own right. Female ‘Jump Street’ agents were featured in the original film played by Dakota Johnson & Rye Rye. The site does go onto reveal that 23 Jump Street/Men in Black crossover movie is still in development as well at Sony.
