Ron Howard Adds Avenger Paul Bettany To ‘Han Solo’ Cast During Reshoots

Director Ron Howard has confirmed on his Twitter account that Paul Bettany will have an undisclosed role in the Han Solo film. As the actor was seen in costume on set in a photo posted by Howard which refutes claims he is replacing Michael K. Williams (was playing an alien/CGI character)

 

 

Deadline supports that Paul is playing a new character.

Sources tell Deadline that Bettany will be playing a completely different character. Outer Rim is a hint to Han Solo’s haunting ground, the outer rim of the galaxy where all types of illegal activities happen. Odds are that Bettany’s character is one of those rowdy types.

Han Solo is still slated for release on May 25th, 2018.
