RUMOR: Bennett Miller and Darren Aronofsky Passed On Directing Channing Tatum In ‘Gambit’
Latino Review’s El Mayimbe has some new X-Men information to share with us. He mentions that Gambit‘s Channing Tatum, who is also a producer is currently seeking-out well respected directors for the X-Men spin-off, naming Bennett Miller (Moneyball, Foxcatcher) and Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) as potential candidates. Too bad the directors have already seemingly passed on the project.
You might remember that Darren Aronofsky was originally going to direct The Wolverine, but had to exit due to a divorce and not wishing to be away from his family shooting in Australia/Japan when this was all going on.
Gambit is set for a November release next year.
FREE TWITTER SCOOP! Channing Tatum going after BIG names to direct GAMBIT. He approached Bennett Miller & Darren Aronofsky who both passed.
