Our good friends over at AVP Galaxy have exclusively learned that Guy Pierce will be reprising the role of Peter Weyland in Alien: Covenant.
The character was expected to have a larger role in Prometheus, but the scenes with a younger Weyland were used for the viral campaign instead.
You can read the spoiler aspect of how Weyland returns for the film at AVP Galaxy (link at bottom), it’s not something we feel needs to be revealed before release.
Here’s what Guy had to say when asked if he would be willing to reprise the role again.
“I’d love to go back and play that character again. To work for Ridley again, you know, he’s great — really wonderful to work for. So yeah, I’m very curious to see what he will do next with it.”
We’ll treat this as a rumor until other sources can confirm.
Covenant is set for release on August 3rd, 2017.
