Today, Mario-Francisco Robles (formally of Latino-Review and Splash Report) of Revenge of the Fans has revealed a new interesting tidbit regarding Shazam. As many know before Black Adam was officially as its own solo film; star Dwayne Johnson met with Superman himself Henry Cavill over a possible cameo appearance in his film or a future Justice League film. However, due to Johnson’s insane schedule, that film is still in limbo but Shazam is trucking along beginning production next month.
According to Mario’s sources WB wants to have Henry Cavill appear in Shazam for a small cameo appearance. It wouldn’t make much sense to have Shazam meet Superman at this point but a news report or flashback isn’t entirely out of the question. Back last year during the casting process we at Omega Underground found an audition tape for Billy Batson’s lifelong friend Freddy Freeman (played by Jack Dylan Grazer). In the tape, Freeman shows the young Batson his collection of DC Universe collectibles which includes a gun shell casing that bounced off Superman himself. The cameo could very well be based on Freeman’s experience with the Last Son of Krypton.
