SplashReport has some new character news concerning Neil Marshall’s Hellboy reboot. But since it’s only a rumor at the moment, take with the usual pinch of salt.

The biggest standout of the bunch happens to be Captain Ben Daimio, a Japanese-American agent who becomes a were-jaguar after a military mission in the Bolivian jungle. Daimio eventually gets involved with the B.P.R.D. taking a leadership role on the field team.
There is some hope that they won’t be whitewashing the character and looking to hire an Asian actor to portray him. If true, we should see some casting news concerning Ben in the very near future.
The current cast includes David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian Mcshane as Professor Broom, and in talks to play the main villain Queen of Blood is Milla Jovovich.
