Our friends over at MCUCosmic have a new tidbit about what could be talked about at Marvel Studios concerning potential solo/spinoffs. Which now apparently inlcudes a movie focused on Jeremy Renner‘s Clint Barton aka Hawkeye.
Nothing is set in stone but the outlet were the first to report on The Eternals movie before screenwriters were announced.
What we do know so far is that in Avengers 4 that Barton will have some scenes set in Tokyo, Japan possibly fighting Yakuza and has been spotted in the Ronin outfit on set. Which does suggest a movie could focus on his other superhero ego which might be a bit more appealing to general audiences who see Hawkeye as a punchline.
Black Widow is seemingly the priority at the moment as Marvel Studios seeks to find a female director.
Keep in mind, this is only a rumbling for now and nothing official has been announced.
