RUMOR: Mercenary and ‘X-Force’ Member Domino Joining ‘Deadpool’ Sequel

Feb 26, 2016

Heroic Hollywood has revealed another potential mutant joining the Deadpool sequel.

They are reporting that Neena Thurman aka Domino will join her fellow mercenary, partner, confident, and sometime lover Cable in the film. She’s also a major character in the New Mutants and X-Force comics, and expected to play a role in those films as well.

I can confirm that I’ve heard similar rumblings concerning Domino joining the Deadpool sequel, and I’ve also been told the film will indeed setup an X-Force movie.

Ryan Reynolds has made X-Force his priority, and the Deadpool writers are heavily interested in tackling it’s script. Ryan’s next film will actually be starring in Jeff Wadlow’s Hitman’s Bodyguard, Wadlow had originally been attached to write and direct X-Force. Cable and Domino factored into that incarnation, that had to be shelved due to similarities to X-Men: Apocalypse.

A release date hasn’t been revealed, but it’s possible it could be ready for February 2018.

Ahead of this rumor, we ran a poll about British actress Gemma Arterton (RockNRolla, Clash of The Titans, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Quantum of Solace, reuniting with her Voices co-star as Domino in the sequel, and even created this artwork as the character. In the end, the results were that Gemma got a “hell yes!” to play her.
