RUMOR: Sequel To ‘Wolfenstein: The New Order’ Coming In 2017?

Sep 24, 2015

The gaming site Game Pressure has picked-up on Polish TV interview with Wolfenstein: The New Order voice actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. Alicja plays Anya in the game, a key love-interest to the hero B.J. Blazkowicz. If her words have been translated properly it sounds like Wolfenstein 2 could be coming in 2017.

In the interview, she alluded to working on a sequel to The New Order and could be out in two years. This is assuming she knows what she’s talking about and has been informed by the developers. Here is her roughly translated quote, seemingly referring to working on a sequel to Wolfenstein.

“Yes, I’m still working on a computer game; I already did the first part, now we’re working on the second one, and it will take roughly two years.”

In the world of gaming information isn’t as close-guarded as you’d imagine it would be. Take the example of the English voice actor from Metal Gear Solid that broke the news that game creator Hideo Kojima would be severing all ties to game studio Konami, after a falling out with the company. This turned out to be true, and it establishes a bit of credibility to the access to information these voice actors can really have in the gaming industry.

At the moment The Old Blood is a current DLC for the game, but is a prequel set during WWII. It’s extremely likely that a continuation of the highly rated game would happen, but “when” has been a giant question.

I’m slightly more curious when we could finally see the long in-development Castle Wolfenstein film come to together.
