RUMOR: Sly Stallone Reuniting With ‘Tango & Cash’ Co-Star Kurt Russell In ‘Guardians 2’

Mar 5, 2016

Could we see another legendary action star join the cast of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2?

The New York Daily News is reporting that a snapshot they have of recent Oscar nominee Sly Stallone, is actually confirmation of sorts he’s joined the production. They claim he’s staying at the hotel the cast of the Guardians cast is using in Atlanta, walking out with the film’s script, and even using a car usually reserved for star Chris Pratt.

Sly’s Creed director Ryan Coogler was recently hired by Marvel to direct Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther.

Sylvester Stallone was caught on camera Friday heading to the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” He is pictured holding a script, likely evidence of a role in the sequel to the 2014 blockbuster.

Stallone, 69, was spotted leaving an Atlanta hotel where the movie’s cast stays, a source told the Daily News. “The Creed” star then got into a car usually assigned to Chris Pratt, the star of the movie.

Marvel has yet to confirm or deny this, but it would be a huge win for myself as I’ve dying to see Stallone and confirmed cast member Kurt Russell have a Tango & Cash reunion.

Stallone previously played a comic book character in the original Judge Dredd movie.

We have no clue if this is legit, or what Sly’s role could be in the film. But, there is trust in the judgement of James Gunn and we hope this is somehow confirmed soon.
