RUMOR: The Canary Islands and Italy Are Filming Locations For ‘Han Solo’

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently casting supporting and background roles with production confirmed by Lucasfilm to begin this February in the UK.

New production news might have revealed two of the locations for the standalone film.

Spanish film blog El Blog Decine Espanol (via StarWarsNewsNet) is stating that Lucasfilm is looking to shoot on location on the island of Fuerteventura  (apart of the Spanish Canary Islands) along with an undisclosed location in Italy. These are only rumored at this point.

Game of Thrones Season 7 and Jason Bourne (doubling for Greece) recently shot scenes in The Canary Islands.

The film ‘Han Solo’, the spin-off project based on the mythical character of the Star Wars saga, and has set the film locations and Spain form part of it.
