George Miller has quite the interesting history with DC Comics film projects, he was originally set to direct a Justice League movie only for it to fall apart. He’s also been recently linked to have been offered other DC films like Man of Steel 2 and Justice League Dark.
Heroic Insider dropped a rumor on this week’s show that they’re now looking at him to direct the Green Lantern Corps. movie. An interesting choice and kind of makes sense as Miller could help world-build that cosmic side of the DCCU, similar to what James Gunn has done with Guardians of The Galaxy.
Again, it’s just a rumor at the moment but it’s hard to deny this would get a lot of worried fans interested in the project.
Miller does want to make a couple of films before making his two or more Mad Max sequels and jumping into something like Green Lantern would give the DCCU a huge film everyone could rally around.
