Today, Deadline announced the recently announced Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot series has since moved from The CW to Netflix. While it’s still assumed that the upcoming Sabrina series will be a spin-off show from The CW’s Riverdale that could change. However, it was revealed that more people watched Riverdale when it streamed the first season on Netflix then when it appeared on The CW.

So Netflix has gone ahead and issued a direct-to-season order for the upcoming series. The announcement also mentions that two seasons have been confirmed by Netflix. Each consisting of 10 episodes each. No one has been cast in the lead role but casting has been going on since early September.  Lastly, the series was originally going to be called “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” but that has since been dropped.
