Deadline has revealed two new cast members have joined the lineup of Stranger Things season two. As Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit, The Americans) will play new kid Max, one of the episode titles is ‘Mad Max’, we assume it refers to her and also possibly Road Warrior.

Sink will play Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than girls of this era. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her.

Also, newcomer Dacre Montgomery will play her step-brother in the show.

Montgomery is Billy, Max’s hyper-confident and edgy older step-brother. He steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends, is great at drinking games, and drives a black Camaro. But lurking under his apparent charisma is a violent and unpredictable nature.

The second season of the popular series will air next year.
