Sam Mendes’ World War I Movie ‘1917’ Adds ‘Annihilation/Beauty and The Beast’ Art Director

As Sam Mendes is currently prepping his World War I film 1917, we have an interesting crew addition to reveal.

Omega Underground has learned that art director Elaine Kusmishko has been added the crew.

Elaine’s credits include Annihilation, Beauty and The Beast, Mary Poppins Returns, and Dracula Untold.

She is expected to join Blade Runner 2049 cinematographer Roger Deakins on the film’s production team.

Shooting on the film 1917 is said to begin in April of next year and Tom Holland is rumored to be in the mix for a leading role.

The release date is said to be set for December 2019.
