SDCC 2014 Outlander Red Carpet!

Aug 11, 2014

This year was nothing short of brilliant when it came to offering fans footage of new shows and movies.  One show that I am looking forward to is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.  Now, for those of you who have not read the book, it is a brilliant story about a woman, Claire, who travels back in time to 18th century Scotland.  She meets the ruggedly handsome Jamie and we are taken on an adventure filled with action and romance.  Diana Gabaldon has a way of taking fantasy, history, science fiction, romance, and action, and rolling it up into an amazingly beautiful story.

I highly recommend reading the book, but for those of you who don’t really like to read, STARZ has made enjoying this book a hell of a lot easier for you!  Season 1 begins on August 9th, but since they are so nice, you can watch the first episode HERE!

And now onto the SDCC coverage!  Aside from what you saw in the exhibit hall, which was a great exhibit I might add, STARZ brought the first season AND the cast to Spreckels Theatre.  Although it was an extremely hot day, the night cooled off quite nicely.  But with all the light on the red carpet, I’m surprised their makeup didn’t’ melt off them!  The women looked beautiful, as they always do, but this time, the men stole the show.  Why, you might ask?  Well, I have one word for you…  KILTS!  Who DOESN’T love a man in a kilt!

Have you seen this:
