Sebastian Stan and Alexandra Daddario Join Horror Flick ‘We Have Always Lived In The Castle’

Aug 10, 2016

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sebastian Stan (The Martian, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective, San Andreas), and Taissa Farmiga have joined the cast of horror film We Have Always Lived In The Castle, based on a story by Shirley Jackson from 1962.

One of the better known stories by Jackson, a 20th century horror writer best known for her novel The Haunting of Hill House, the plot centers on an isolated family, which has already lost four members to poisoning, that uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. Into this scenario arrives a distant cousin, intent on maliciously securing the family’s fortune and whose arrival sets in motion the uncovering of family secrets.

The ladies will play agoraphobic sisters who become divided by the cousin’s (Stan) arrival.

Stacie Passon (Concussion, Transparent) will direct.
