Second Source Claims ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Begins Shooting In July

Back in February, Omega Underground uncovered an extra casting call for Colin Trevorrow’s Star Wars: Episode IX that claimed the updated production start was looking to begin this July at Pinewood Studios UK.

Well, we now have a second source backing up this July start. As the growingly reliable My Entertainment World has added a new production listing for Episode IX mentioning it begins filming in July, as we previously pointed out.

Our expectation was that once Han Solo moved into its location shoot and out of Pinewood, Episode IX would move into pre-production and start building sets.

A release date hasn’t been locked-in but it had been expected to be released in 2019.
