Deadline recently posted some new intel concerning Matt Reeves’ The Batman revealing it becoming a reboot and that Ben Affleck was “likely” not returning alluding to a recasting.
Despite heated fans in denial about the trade report, there is now a second trade outlet affirming the reboot talk. The Hollywood Reporter going even further and revealing that Reeves’ recent draft focuses on a “young caped crusader” and also suggest Been Affleck won’t be returning to the role.
There was talk of filming starting in early next year but production dates haven’t been revealed.
Fans of Affleck’s Batman might have to start adjusting to the idea of a new actor.
