Apr 26, 2017

Today, The Wrap announced that comedians Seth Rogen (Sasuge Party) and Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street) have entered talks to join Disney’s The Lion King live-action remake. Many had hoped that the Lion King would use a full black cast which had many fans hoping to see the duo behind Key & Peele (Keegan Michael Key & Jordan Peele) voice the pair. However, that looks to just not be the case anymore. Currently, Donald Glover has signed onto voice Simba with James Earl Jones returning Mufasa. With the cast also bring in caucasian actors the studio should consider using Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) to possibly voicing Scar.

The Lion King Will Hit July 2019
