‘Sicario’ Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson Will Score ‘Blade Runner 2’

The Icelandic Monitor reports that composer Jóhann Jóhannsson will be reuniting with director Denis Villeneuve, as he’ll score the original music for Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner 2. The pair previously worked together on the stunning Sicario, which it’s score helped wrench-up the tension. The artist reportedly revealed the news on an Icelandic radio station (via Pitchfork).

Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has been tapped to score the new, Denis Villeneuve-directed Blade Runner sequel, Iceland Monitor reports. Jóhann, whose Theory of Everything score was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe in 2015, revealed the news during an interview on Iceland’s RÚV radio station. The film is slated for an October 6, 2017 release.

Blade Runner 2 is set for release on October 6th, 2017.
