The year 2025 presented many great titles. From Split Fiction that dominated the co-op world, to the eerie Silent Hill F. However, 2026 promises even more great titles. You might be waiting for innovations, something immersive that would rival games often featured on some of the best live casino websites. You won’t be disappointed, because 2026 will present many much-anticipated titles that most players have been waiting for.
1. Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem will enter the market on February 27th. This new Resident Evil follow-up will introduce a new protagonist to players named Grace Ashcroft, an FBI agent who’s also Alyssa Ashcroft’s daughter. If you’re a long-time Resident Evil fan, you might’ve met Alyssa in 2003 as she was a playable character in Resident Evil Outbreak.
The story follows Grace as she investigates a host of deaths at Raccoon City’s Wrenwood Hotel, which was also the place where her mother died years ago. She’ll then find herself chased by a relentless stalker monster, which is unlike the previous Resident Evil games that introduced characters like Mr. X and Lady Dimitrescu.
The biggest change will be the perspective. The game allows players to switch between third-person and first-person perspectives at any time. The previous games all only provide a first-person point of view.
2. 007: First Light
James Bond remained one of the most popular movie series that IO Interactive decided to use as an inspiration for a new game. IO Interactive is the studio behind Hitman, and 007: First Light would present an original story. It’ll tell Bond’s origin, his life before being an agent he grew to be. You’ll meet the 26-year-old Bond, who works for MI6. He’s been given a mission to complete, which will earn him his 00 agent status.
It’s an original narrative, but Bond fans will still feel a degree of familiarity. The story took heavy inspiration from the movies and books to ensure the game still fit in the Bond universe. There would be old characters appearing alongside new ones, such as M, Q, Dr. Selina Tan, Miss Moneypenny, and DGSE agent Miss Roth.

3. The Duskbloods
The Duskbloods stand out for a specific reason. At the announcement of Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2025, they announced that FromSoftware will be working with Hidetaka Miyazaki to launch an exclusive action-RPG for Switch 2. In addition, it’s not just a regular action-RPG; it’s a multiplayer game that can be played with up to eight players.
Each player can choose a vampire-like character for PvE or PvP combat. This shocked many players who watched the trailer for the game. Many couldn’t dismiss its similarities with Bloodborne 2. Both showcase a similar Victorian-era, gothic aesthetic.
It does seem like the game’s aim is to be Bloodborne 2’s successor. The multiplayer aspect also reminds many players of Elden Ring Nightreign. This made many players think that FromSoftware is heading in a multiplayer direction and will abandon single-player. Yet, Miyazaki had confirmed that the studio will eventually return to single-player games.
4. Pokémon Champions
Pokémon will always be among the most anticipated games anytime it announces a new addition. Now, Pokémon Champions presents a PvP turn-based strategy game. For competitive players, this is good news because the game will focus on competitive multiplayer battles.
Pokémon Champions will replace Violet and Scarlet for the Pokémon World Championships 2026. The company is confident in what they’re going to present and believes that the game will blow up globally.
It’s a free-to-start game with more content in the paid version. Even for players who rarely enjoy Pokémon games, this version has the potential to appeal to players outside of the fandom. That is, if the company doesn’t push microtransactions for the free version.
5. Zero Parades: For Dead Spies
If you remember the iconic 2019 RPG Disco Elysium, you’re probably anticipating Zero Parades the most. ZA/UM aims to make a Disco Elysium successor through Zero Parades, using the same art style and gameplay look. Yet, this time, you’ll be seeing spies instead of cops.
Players will play as Hershel Wilk, a spy who had botched a job five years prior and is working to rebuild their network for a new mission. It seems like a dense and enchanting game, a perfect reminisce of Disco Elysium. It’s deep, funny, and will require you to strategize as you play.
6. Grand Theft Auto 6
Among the most anticipated games of 2026, the title that takes first place is probably Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans have been waiting for 13 years for this new addition.
In GTA 6, players will once again explore Leonida. Features from the older games will make an appearance, such as Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. There’ll be many areas to explore, including Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, and Vice City.
Other iconic characters in the game, like Jason’s friend Cal Hampton, “Vice City Legend” Boobie Ike, and bank robber Raul Bautista, would also accompany players’ journey. The game is planned to release on May 26, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
