Rumblings that mercenary mutant Domino could be apart of the Deadpool sequel having be circling for a while now. I’ve also heard is that the next installment would directly setup the X-Force movie, a priority for star/producer Ryan Reynolds.
Heroic Hollywood went and revealed this Domino rumor yesterday.
We’re stoked on seeing the badass Domino in the sequel and even more excited that X-Men producer Simon Kinberg might include the X-Force film within the world of Deadpool. He teased a possible R-rating for the team-up spinoff. It would likely include Wade, Cable, Domino, along with a couple of others.
The assumption being here that Domino could be a big crossover role, allowing the character to be apart of multiple X-Men projects.
I’m sure many will come out with lists of who should play Neena Thurman aka Domino, but we’ll start off by campaigning specifically for Ryan’s Voices co-star Gemma Arterton.
Our own fan-poll ended with a majority of voters saying “hell yeah!” to seeing Arterton in the role.
Like Ryan, Gemma is super talented, but has had more than a few box office and critical stumbles during her attempts at studio blockbusters. She deserves a role that could really bring out a badass action heroine we think can be pulled-off with a role like this.
