Feb 20, 2019

Ubisoft and Atlas Entertainment (’12 Monkeys,’ ‘Dirty John’) are joining forces to adapt ‘Skull & Bones’ into a TV series. It will be based on the pirate adventure game, which has yet to release.

The adaptation will be a female-driven drama. Moreover, the setting is the lawless frontier of the Indian Ocean at the end of the golden age of piracy in the 1700s. Amanda Segel (‘Person of Interest,’ USA’s ‘Shooter’), will write the pilot and executive produce.

Ubisoft’s recent adaptation was the feature film ‘Assassin’s Creed,’ starring Michael Fassbender. Further, the long-gestating ‘The Division’ film is still in the works. David Leitch is attached to direct, while Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain are part of the cast.

As for television, the Ubisoft and Apple series ‘Hero Quest’ from Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney is currently filming, and will wrap sometime in March or April.
