Ridley Scott and Fox are looking at hiring the third writer for Alien: Paradise Lost, the Prometheus sequel previously had Michael Green (Blade Runner 2) and Jack Paglen (Transcendence) work on the film’s screenplay.

Variety reports that Bond writer John Logan (Spectre, Skyfall, Gladiator, Hugo, The Aviator) will help polish/revise the script as casting and pre-production is ramping up. I’m curious if Logan is helping Ridley map-out the next two sequels and include those seeds in the script, Ridley has revealed to press his intentions to direct those films as well.

Damon Lindelof recently mentioned that he was specifically brought-on to Prometheus to help remove those early Alien connections in the original Alien: Origins script. I’m curious if John Logan will put those elements back in. Ridley has confirmed the Prometheus movies will eventually have direct connections to the main Ripley saga, yet more reasons to believe why the studio placed Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5 on hold.

There had been word a while back that Rogue Nation actress and rumored Captain Marvel hopeful Rebecca Ferguson, was being eyed for a role in the sequel.
