It looks like we have our first crew hirings for Spider-Man 2, as MCUExchange has revealed two Marvel alumn additions to the production team via a production source.

They state that Cop Car cinematographer Matthew J. Lloyd (Defenders, Daredevil, Thor: Ragnarok) and production designer Claude Pare (X-Men: Dark Phoenix, It, Rise of The Planet of The Apes) have joined the yet to be titled Spider-Man sequel.

Llyod was also the cinematographer on Thor: Ragnarok‘s reshoots in Atlanta.

Previously, MCUExchange learned that Guardians cinematographer Ben Davis would be working on Captain Marvel.

Spider-Man: Homecoming’s production designer Oliver Scholl is currently busy working on Tom Hardy’s Venom.

It seems the next bit of news for the film will likely be new casting additions and announcements of those who are expected to return.

Production is expected to begin this summer starting on June 1st with a release date slated by Sony for July 5th, 2019.
