‘Spider-Man’ Star Tom Holland Set To Star as a Young Nathan Drake in Sony’s ‘Uncharted’

May 22, 2017

Today, Deadline announced that Sony Pictures is looking to once again rewrite their long-in-development Uncharted movie as it focuses this time on a young Nathan Drake. After producer Tom Rothman watched an early cut of Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland blew the executives away that they fast-tracked a deal for Holland to play the young thief. The film has been rewritten multiple times over the years but never seemed to get our of development hell until now. Shawn Levy is still attached to direct the upcoming video game movie adaptation.

The film will focus on young Nathan Drake meeting the professional rogue Sullivan.

Originally, production on the film was expected to begin this spring in Columbia first reported by Omega Underground. However, with this recent news that the film will once again be rewritten; production will obviously be pushed back. Most likely until Tom Holland has completed work on both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 at Marvel Studios.

Uncharted has no set release date
