Variety reports that Paramount is now in talks with Jessica Jones and Defenders director SJ Clarkson to helm Star Trek 4.
J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay will return to write.
Originally, the idea was that time-travel would return with Kirk having to team-up with his father (Chris Hemworth). It remains to be seen if that will still be happening. However, we are hopeful Sofia Boutella’s Jayla will be returning.
Clarkson had been one of many female directors that been meeting with Lucasfilm about Star Wars ptiches over the last couple of years.
Paramount has yet to announce when they plan on releasing the film.
