Stardock Gives a View into 4X Development in the Multi-Core Age

Stardock’s CEO, and dear friend of GWW, Brad Wardell has been detailing his team’s development of Galactic Civilizations III’s new campaign, called Crusade. These “development diaries”, as he refers to them, describe the long-standing weaknesses of the 4X strategy genre. Importantly, Brad shows how these weaknesses are overcome by the multi-core CPUs of the modern age. If you’re into game development, strategy gaming, or the cool folks at Stardock, check out the diary to learn more.

Crusade is expected to release this Spring.

Joe Barhoum

Joe was born and raised in Portland, OR. As an illegitimate son of Zeus, Joe sometimes struggles with his humanity vs. his divinity. As a self proclaimed “health-nut” Joe drinks half his weight in protein shakes a day, and it is not uncommon for him to run for days, sometimes covering hundreds of miles.
