Character actor Jake Busey best known for his role in Starship Troopers has joined the cast of Shane Black’s The Predator according to Deadline. He was most recently seen in the Dusk Till Dawn series playing the role of Sex Machine.
He joins Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Janes, Alfie Allen, Jacob Tremblay, Trevante Rhodes, Augusto Aguilera, and Yvonne Strahovski. Production is currently underway in Vancouver and will wrap on May 15th.
Jake’s father Gary Busey had a leading role in Predator 2 as a government agent tracking the alien’s hunting habits in Los Angeles replacing the second role written for Arnold Schwarzenegger. It remains to be seen if his role is in anyway connection to this agency.
The Predator is set for release on February 9th, 2018.
