Today, Variety revealed that a star has been chosen to take up the mantle in the upcoming 24 spin-off TV series titled 24: Legacy. This is in Straight Outta Compton’s Corey Hawkins. Hawkins also had a small role on this season of The Walking Dead before being killed off. 24: Legacy was announced last month as a sequel series to the classic show 24 that ran for many seasons on FOX. Unfortunately, the main character Jack Bauer played famously by Keifer Sutherland will not be in the new series…because that makes sense?
The show only has a pilot ordered but will only be 13-Episodes long if greenlight:

This show actually sounds a lot like The Borune Legacy. It was a movie in the Jason Bourne universe but didn’t have Matt Damon appear at all in the film. However Jason Borune was constantly referenced throughout the film. This is bound to happen with 24: Legacy in the same way.
24: Legacy will debut on FOX
