Today, Deadline is reporting that David Ayer (End of Watch, Suicide Squad) has entered early talks to direct the upcoming reboot of the classic gangster film Scarface. Director Antoine Fuqua was in talks to direct the film but had to drop out after the film kept being pushed back due to scheduling conflicts. Currently, Star Wars: Rogue One star Deigo Luna is set to star as Tony Scarface himself. A role made famous by Al Pachino in the 1983 film. Which is actually a remake of a 1932 film. The remake is being written by The Coen Brothers.

Scarface is expected to hit August 2018
