Thank Goodness!: ‘Harley Quinn’ Solo Movie In Development At WB

May 16, 2016

Harley Quinn is easily one of the most anticipated characters coming from the DCCU and Warner Bros. seemingly understands this, as The Hollywood Reporter is hearing that the studio is developing her own solo film with star Margot Robbie returning and taking a producing role.

UPDATE: The trades are now stating it’s not a solo film, but rather a female centric team-up film likely Birds of Prey, which is a shame as Margot’s Quinn deserves a solo film more than say Aquaman.

It’s been said she’s a driving force within Suicide Squad, the studio sounding extremely confident in her performance.

Coming off the heels of Deadpool, the audience is ready for her solo film and could easily be a really off-the-wall crowd pleasing comedic action movie is what the DC lineup needs right now.

This isn’t the only female driven project in development at the studio as Wonder Woman comes out next summer, with Birds of Prey and Batgirl films said to be in the works as well.

I applaud Warner Bros. for this news, seeing them follow through with it is another thing.
