‘The Expendables’ Scribe Dave Callaham Boards Universal’s ‘The Wolfman’

Recently it was revealed that The Expendables screenwriter Dave Callaham has boarded Universal Pictures upcoming Wolfman remake. He will rewrite a draft based on Prisoners scribe Aaron Guzikowski originally screenplay. This would mark another film in the Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe set to debut with next years The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. No director or star has been attached to this project however Dwayne Johnson was once rumored for the role several months ago. Additionally, producers Alex Kurtzman & Chris Morgan will oversee the entire cinematic universe from behind-the-scenes.

Other rumored roles for this universe includes Johnny Depp as The Invisible Man and Angelina Jolie as the Bride of Frankenstein. With Skyfall’s Javier Bardem confirmed to play Frankenstein’s Monster. And Russell Crowe portraying Dr. Jekyll & Mr.Hyde in The Mummy.
