‘The Flash’ Adds To Its Cast Including A Replacement for Billy Crudup’s Henry Allen

Mar 24, 2021

It feels like we get a new Flash update every week now as filming is set to begin and today Variety dropped some major casting announcements. First up Billy Crudup’s role as Henry Allen as seen in both versions of Justice League has been recast as expected with Ron Livingston taking up the role of Barry’s imprisoned father. Crudup had to leave due to scheduling conflicts with The Morning Show which forced him to walk away from the Henry Allan role.

Also joining the cast are Ian Loh who will portray a young Barry Allen with Saoirse-Monica Jackson from ‘Derry Girls’ and internet personality Rudy Mancuso stepping into roles that have yet to be disclosed. My guess is they are playing our villains in some form with Saoirse fitting the “female assassin” role that was rumored.

The article also confirms Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton will be apart of the film putting to bed further rumors that Keaton wasn’t officially signed on to return.

The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti, with a script by Christina Hodson and is currently slotted to hit theaters on November 4th, 2022.
