‘The Flash’ Expected To Begin Filming Early 2019; Taking Inspiration From ‘Back to the Future’

Jun 14, 2018

Earlier today The Hollywood Reporter released a slew of information regarding the upcoming slate of DC films in pre-production. The film has had many incarnations, writers and directors attached to the project after it was announced to star Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons.

After Game Night directing duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein took over directing duties the film has taken a lighter tone. Instead of a bleaker tone set in the Flashpoint script that was previously being developed. The report states “the somber themes it had been expected to tackle and instead look to Back to the Future as tonal inspiration.” Lastly, the report mentions that production will finally commence sometime in early 2019.
