Story & Art by: Ricardo Delgado

The return of the great thunder lizards is here! In a comic series that has a reputation for being brutal, adventurous and thrilling, Age of Reptiles is one of those rare exceptions where it is nearly impossible for words to describe just how well pieced together this work of art truly is . Taking place in the lands ruled by the dinosaurs where one day Egypt will be, make sure to take your time and fully take in each panel.

The line work of Delgado and coloring of Ryan Hill are simply beautiful. You get a sense right away of the mood of scenes based off the colors being used. The details that make up the dinosaur models, are full of rough edges and strong bold line work. I found myself viewing a page once to read what is unfolding in a story, and then again to fully enjoy each panel for its artwork.

Ricardo Delgado does an excellent job of storytelling through his artwork and creating a character in the Spinosaurus that I found myself pulling for throughout his adventures, the coloring is a piece of art itself. Ryan Hill’s colors bring this wordless, ancient dinosaur adventure to life. By the end of this first issue, I was excited as I turned the pages feverously trying to read more and more and take in as much of this as possible. I can say that I can’t wait for the next installment.
