Netflix has announced, Jodie Turner-Smith will play Eile a previous guardian of the Queen fighting for her life as a bard. Jodie will star in The Witch: Blood Origin set more than a millennium before the events of the Witcher and will features the creation of the first Witcher.
Éile, is an elite warrior blessed with the voice of a goddess, has left her clan and position as Queen’s guardian to follow her heart as a nomadic musician. A grand reckoning on the continent forces her to return to the way of the blade in her quest for vengeance and redemption.
The Witcher: Blood Origin is set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher:, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time - the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. The series will be a six-part, live-action prequel to the Netflix hit starring Henry Cavill.
It makes me wonder if as with all prototypes if they will make quick work of their foes while exhibiting a flaw that will ultimately lead to the Conjunction of the Spheres. The collision of man, elves, and monsters is coming and Netflix promises to bring us answers.
