Deadline has dropped the brief detail that Tim Miller‘s (Deadpool) Terminator reboot is expected to begin shooting sometime next spring. The film has James Cameron aboard as a producer and giving some creative insight during its development.

Miller’s attention right now is on the resurrection of The Terminator franchise that he is teamed on creatively with creator James Cameron. That film is expected to start production next spring. Right now, they have a writers room with several scribes figuring out where to take the Skynet saga that Cameron hatched in 1984. The film is a major part of this week’s new deal between Paramount Pictures and Skydance.

Omega Underground had previously decoded in Miller’s interview with Collider, he was expecting to begin shooting Terminator next year. We also recently learned that Prometheus production designer Sonja Klaus had been hired for the film.

The film is currently using the simple working title of Terminator (not Terminator 6).
