While Cruise and Doug Liman try to figure out what to do for an Edge of Tomorrow sequel, they will be reuniting for a third feature with sci-fi flick Luna Park, according to Variety.
The plot revolves around a group of renegade employees who venture to the moon to steal an energy source.
Liman has been trying to put the film together for ages, but it never seemed to get off-the-ground, even with the likes of Chris Evans and Andrew Garfield attaching themselves. Now with Tom involved it will likely light a fire under the seat of Paramount to get the science fiction film made. The only problem is when will it start production?
The pair just completed their drug cartel actioner Mena, with Cruise about to start shooting Jack Reacher 2, and possibly Mission: Impossible 6 next year as well. It could be a crowded schedule for Cruise, but I’m sure he’ll find the time for it.
