Tom Hardy Confirms ‘Iron Man’ Cinematographer Matthew Libatique and ‘Venom’s San Francisco Location Shoot

Omega Underground first reported not only that Venom would be set in San Francisco (also an adaption of Lethal Protector) and it would be filming some scenes there too. Well, Tom Hardy has finally confirmed the latter part.

Hardy used to his Instagram account to reveal the San Francisco shoot and that Oscar-nominated cinematographer Matthew Libatique (Black Swan, mother!, Noah, Straight Outta Compton) shot the film.

Matthew should perk up the ears of MCU fans as he was behind the camera of Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Venom also has production designer Oliver Scholl, who worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming. He also posted some rad photos from the California shoot.

Venom’s release date has been set by Sony for October 5th, 2019.
