‘Tomb Raider’: First Look At Alicia Vikander As Lara Croft In Big Screen Reboot

Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander “Danish Girl” is stepping into the boots of the iconic video game archeologist Lara Croft for Roar Uthaugh’s big screen reboot of the “Tomb Raider” franchise.

The film is currently shooting on location in South Africa, and some set images have been released online giving a first glimpse of Vikander as Lara Croft.

The actress can be seen below looking the part and doing her own stunts.

English actor Dominic West “The Wire” recently joined the cast as Lara’s father, Lord Richard Croft. THR broke the casting announcement, those familiar with the game franchise and the previous movies starring Angelina Jolie will know he’s an integral part of the characters Mythology.

The film also stars Walton Goggins “Justified” and “Into The Badlands” Daniel Wu.
