Trailer For Ben Affleck’s ‘Live By Night’ Released And It Looks Incredible

Ben Affleck has it all. He’s a great actor, he’s Batman and he’s also one hell of a director—now he’s back with his fourth directorial effort in Live By Night.

Affleck will also star in the film, he plays Joe Coughlin, the golden boy of a Boston police captain. But after Coughlin relocates to Tampa, Florida he becomes a bootlegger and notorious gangster.

Warner Bros released the first trailer for Live By Night, a film which is based on Dennis Lehane’s novel by of the same name and it looks incredible.

Live by Night Synopsis:

Set in the roaring `20s when Prohibition hasn’t stopped the flow of booze in an underground network of gangster-run speakeasies. The opportunity to gain power and money is there for any man with enough ambition and nerve and Joe Coughlin, the son of the Boston Police Superintendent, long ago turned his back on his strict upbringing for the spoils of being an outlaw. But even among criminals there are rules and Joe breaks a big one: crossing a powerful mob boss by stealing his money and his moll. The fiery affair ends in tragedy, setting Joe on a path of revenge, ambition, romance and betrayal that propels him out of Boston and up the ladder of Tampa’s steamy rum-running underworld.

The film stars Ben Affleck, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Chris Cooper.

Live By Night will hit screens January 13, 2017
