Late last year it was announced that Trainwreck and comedian Amy Schumer had signed up to play Barbie in an upcoming live-action remake of the classic doll character. Well, the actress has since dropped out from production. However, it looks like the film is still expected to begin filming later this year.
According to My Entertainment World production on Barbie will begin this September in Atlanta as well as Australia and South Africa:
We at Omega Underground have personally thought that pop star singer Taylor Swift might be a great alternate to play Barbie in the upcoming film. Touring date aside she could literally look exactly like the character. But with the studio looking at Amy Schumer; they may be searching for a blonde comedian for the role.
