Last week, we revealed that things were coming together on Neill Blomkamp‘s next film Greenland which has Chris Evan set to star as a man trying to get to his family to safety which is seemingly located in Greenland. Eyeing a production start in October.
Filming would begin this fall in Toronto and we now have the production dates.
The Toronto shoot on Greenland is now set to begin on October 1st and wraps on November 23rd.
We assume some work will be still be done in Vancouver at Oats Studios and there was information pointing to some filming in New York City as well.
Omega Underground has learned that Neill will reunite with cinematographer Manoel Ferreira, who worked with him recently on his short films The Escape, Rakka, Firebase, and Zygote.
There were rumblings that fellow Canadian Dennis Gassner would be acting as the film’s production designer. Dennis had recently worked on Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.
It’s now assumed that STX Entertainment will give the film a release date for 2019, but have yet to give Greenland an official date.
