‘Venom’ Atlanta Shoot Ends In February – Moves On To San Francisco Soon
We’ve known for a while now that Sony’s Venom movie starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock would be wrapping things up around February. And we now know when the Atlanta shoot will end. Keep in mind, we accurately reported on the start date of October 23rd and it’s working title of Antidote.
Omega Underground has learned that February 2nd is that wrap date.
The interesting part is that the film is set in San Francisco (as first reported by us) and will move from Atlanta to the Bay Area soon. It’s unknown if this will happen next month or will take place after the date of February 2nd.
We’ve now confirmed that scouts have been in San Francisco and Oakland seeking filming locations for the film.
One scene might actually take place in the Bay itself as we have word the production has assembled a stunt boat/dive team.
There is also an expectation that we’ll start seeing actors in motion capture suits (later to be turned into symbiotes in post-production) soon either in Atlanta or in San Francisco. However, we know for sure they’ll be using effects plates during the Frisco shoot. This could be when it’s revealed via set photos who is playing fellow symbiotes in the film.
Michelle Williams (Anne Weying aka She-Venom) is the only other actor in the film to have their role confirmed. Other actors in the film include Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Woody Harrelson, and Jenny Slate some of which are expected to play villains (as Carnage is said to be the main villain).
Venom is set for release on October 5th, 2018.
