‘Vikings’ Actress Alyssa Sutherland Boards Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ Series

Jul 13, 2016

Alyssa Sutherland has joined Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under, American Horror Story) in Spike TV’s television adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist, also a very underrated horror film directed by Frank Darabont.

The series tells the harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc. Sutherland will portray Eve Cunningham, a wife and mother who fights to protect her teenage daughter from unknown dangers lurking both inside and outside the mist while facing down her past.

The Aussie actress is mostly known for her role on the History Channel’s series Vikings.

The Mist has been fast-tracked from pilot to 10-episode series order, after another show Red Mars was put on pause. Production on the show begins this summer with it expected to air sometime in 2017 on Spike.
