From the brilliant yet harrowing mind of James Tynion IV comes a horrifyingly horrific tale that might, and probably will, hit too close to home for most. A brand-new highly anticipated horror series by Image Comics. The debut issue of W0rldTr33 will leave you craving for more.

W0rldTr33 is an unforgiving look at the darker side of the internet. Although it is placed in a fictional story, with fictional characters, it also has a strange yet familiar feel to it. We all yes I do mean all, have been there… Where you might wonder? the sites of this wonderful yet terrifying place known as the World Wide Web. We all have stared into the abyss. To contemplate something unfamiliar to ourselves often with very real consequences on the concepts that help us shape the world around us.

While the story revolves around the mysterious undernet and the consequences of peering into it. It looks at society as a whole, we are consciously or unconsciously influenced by what we see and read on the internet. Now, how frighting would it be if something that we see as mundane could provoke us into action, altering our thoughts and common sense.  Well if you wonder… Then W0lrdTr33 is right up your alley.

The art and pacing of the story are truly something to behold. I have never seen art, color, and writing complement each other so well. It has incredible depth and is extremely enchanting almost making you feel at ease with the chaos that is bound to follow, then brilliantly pulling you back into reality.

This won’t be a book for everyone, as it takes an over-the-top look at actual issues in today’s online world. But, if you feel brave enough to pick up a knockout of an extremely engaging and intriguing horror comic,  this will not disappoint. A perfect debut if there ever was one.
