Warner Bros Announce Impressive Cast For ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ And Plot Details

Aug 16, 2016

Warner Bros know they are on to something great with their Lego movies. After the crazy success of The Lego Movie the studio are now moving forward with follow ups, the first being The Lego Batman Movie, which will arrive in cinema’s early next year. Following that The Lego Ninjago Movie will be released later in the year and the cast for the film along with plot details ha be officially been announced by the studio.

For those of you who don’t know much about Lego Ninjago, I’d say ask your kid if you have one under the age of ten. They eat this up. For those of you who don’t have that luxury, Ninjago is one of Lego’s most successful toy lines that has had success in a TV series and video games. It follows the story four ninja’s Kai, Master of Fire, Jay, Master of Lightning, Cole, Master of Earth, and Zane, Master of Ice who are brought together by Sensei Wu to form a team to stop the evil Lord Garmadon. The plot is used a lot, sorta sounds like Power Rangers but without the Zords.

Anyway back to the cast of The Lego Ninjago Movie, it’s pretty awesome:

  • Jackie Chan as Master Wu
  • Justin Theroux as Garmadon
  • Dave Franco as Lloyd
  • Olivia Munn as Lloyd’s mom, Koko.
  • Fred Armisen as Cole
  • Abbi Jacobson as Nya
  • Kumail Nanjiani as Jay
  • Michael Peña as Kai
  • Zach Woods as Zane.

Here’s the plot for the big screen Ninjago film:

The battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.

The Lego Ninjago Movie hits screens September 22, 2017.
